Chain Reaction The Channelling
sessions.
I am reasonably sure that this was due to a rare alignment of social, economic and environmental factors. Throughout the 1990s, the economy grew. Unemployment was low, wages were high and most individuals in the Western hemisphere were enjoying a period of relative wealth and prosperity. Everyone was buying into the 'feel good' factor and spiritual awareness was also riding on the crest of the Millennium dream wave. The New Age movement was in full swing and people really did believe that 2000 would herald the onset of a new Golden Age for mankind. Skully seemed to become a focus for this. A physical expression of the abstract and symbolic hopes held in the heart and soul of each individual. Whatever the reasons may have been, we were swamped with enquiries! It was only possible to accommodate a very small percentage of these and I can only apologize to the many individuals and groups who were not afforded an opportunity to channel the skull. I do not believe that I was naive to anticipate a relatively small response to the press release. Indeed, I do not think that anyone could have foreseen the sheer scale of the response. Under the circumstances, the very best job possible was done. The Sensitives were selected to encompass a wide range of methods and techniques. These varied from simple prayer, to trance mediumship; from shamanistic ceremony to outright occult ritual. Mind-blowing as some of the material produced was, it would be a mistake to concentrate on specific sessions. It is very easy to become entrenched and bogged-down in the intricate complexities of any given Sensitives utterances. Although I will make reference to specific sessions, I wish to look at the material as a whole. By considering each session as an individual piece in a jigsaw puzzle it was hoped that when placed in their correct places, a picture would emerge. The material produced could loosely be broken down into three categories. There was the data relating to a specific time period; to a specific geographic location; and finally material relating to communication with nonphysical entities. As would be expected, most sessions produced a certain degree of overlap between the categories. In some cases, although the sensitive provided a detailed description of a landscape, it was not possible to pinpoint a specific location or time frame to the picture received. Imagine that every single word ever written or printed about the Supernatural were fed into a gigantic computer. If the computer was then asked to draw a line (representing mankind's history) and then to stack the literature relating to each time period in little piles along this line; the resulting graph would look like a cross-section through a mountain range, as can be seen from the diagram below.) ![]() In the distant foothills can be seen the origins of Shamanism and Astrology. The first big hump comes at about 12,500B.C. and relates to the legends of Atlantis. The next hill starts to rise from about 4,500B.C. with Sumer and Egypt, and so on. Although the above graph is very stylized it does illustrate the point I am making. On a smaller scale, the contents of any large Supernatural book distributor will contain volumes in pretty much the same ratios. What was astonishing about the channelling sessions was collectively, that they too adhered to the same ratios! Moreover, on one claimed to be in contact with an Eskimo guide. There were no utterances from extraterrestrial entities residing on the moon, or beneath the polar ice-caps. Nor were any visions received of 16th century Australia. In fact, the visions were produced exclusively from within the framework of existing mythology and traditions. Furthermore, all sensations received by the Sensitives correlated strongly to their own belief system. The shamans did not see visions of ancient Egypt. The pagans did not hear voices from aliens. The New-Agers did not talk in the symbols of alchemy, etc., etc. Throughout the sessions, not a single sensitive expressed any surprise at the nature of information they received and not a single unpleasant or evil entity was evoked. With regards to material relating to
Skully's origins, I will mention the following example: I was astonished by the quality of this data, because I knew it to be true! About a week before Diane's second session I had received some documents from an associate of Skully's previous owner. These outlined rituals and ceremonies Skully had participated in, and confirmed everything that Diane said. I was puzzled as to why this information was not forthcoming in the first session and for whatever reasons, this fired my mind back to three related experiences from my past. 1.. Many years ago I worked in a video rental store. One morning I was stood at the counter reading a newspaper when a gruff voice asked if I would like to purchase some lucky lace. The lady in front of me looked every bit a traditional Gypsy fortuneteller. She stood no more than four-and-a-half feet tall, and beneath her many shawls and cardigans she looked almost as wide. I couldn't understand why I had not heard this bundle of rags shuffle up to me. Nor could I figure out why her entry had not sounded the bell. Over the next 30 minutes or so it became clear that this woman knew more about my life than I did. So much so that I suspected myself to be the victim of a particularly elaborate practical joke. She knew things about my life that I had forgotten. It was uncanny. Her statements about my past and present were 100% accurate. However, with hindsight, her predictions for my future turned out to be completely wrong. 2.. I took a friend to a Tarot reader of some repute. The lady would not read my friends cards so I offered to take his place. Although not in the same league as the gypsy, her statements about my past and present were pretty accurate. And again, like the gypsy, her account of my future turned out to be equally hopeless and inaccurate. 3.. I had stepped in at the last moment to act a small part in a play. My character was w woman who, due to a series of unfortunate circumstances, had lost her husband, children, home, job and family. She had lost all hope, taking to the bottle to blot out her misery. After a few short appearances in the First Act, she drowns herself in the Second. Although I am not actor, I really threw myself into the part and tried my very best to be this woman. I played the role for four weeks and after the final performance the cast went out to celebrate. During the evening I met up with a group of friends. One member of the group (who didn't know me, and therefore knew nothing of the role I'd been playing) asked if she could read my cards. I agreed, but as the reading progressed it became increasingly apparent that my circumstances bore absolutely no relation to the cards. Suddenly, it dawned on me that the lady was not reading my life, but rather the life of the character whose part I had been playing. A persona that, due to nerves and my determination to do well, had been at the forefront of my mind for a month. The implication of this suddenly became clear to me: They were either reading my mind, or were possibly taking the information from a collective archive of knowledge, a species of Asachic record. Likewise with the channelling sessions, as my knowledge of Skully's history increased, the quality of data obtained from the Sensitives also became more precise. An analogy would be that of a web-page: I obtain Skully (Buy a Domain name and web-space.) At first the pages of my web-site are empty, but as my knowledge increases the pages fill out. The Sensitives channel (log on) the Skull (web-site) and are able to access the information contained there. Having being afforded a glimpse of the mechanism behind the channelling sessions I started to wonder about the true nature of the various spirit guides, ascended masters and extraterrestrial contacts. With these thoughts on my mind, I retired to bed and experienced several extremely unusual occurrences. 1.. I had been in bed for no more than five minutes when I realized that I was neither tired or sleepy. Deciding to get up and drink a cup of cocoa I fumbled around for the light switch. It didn't seem to be where it should be and it was only with great difficulty that I located it, only to discover that the bulb had blown. I struggled blindly onto my landing and fumbled for the switch to my left. That too had blown. I reasoned there must be a power cut. Here I stopped as it struck me that not only was it dark, it was pitch black. I couldn't see anything at all. Not only this, I seemed to be moving as if through treacle and everything seemed to possess an unreal quality. A shocking thought crossed my mind: I couldn't remember getting out of bed, nor walking to the light switch on the wall. I seemed to jump from deciding to get up, to clinging to the bedroom wall. My head started spinning and I found myself back in bed! I had not got up at all, I must have fallen straight to sleep and had been dreaming. Now I really need to get up and drink a cup of coffee! The bedroom light bulb had blown, so I groped my way to the door and this time turned left only to discover that the landing and spare-bedroom bulbs had also blown. Everything was pitch black and I couldn't remember getting out of bed. My head started to spin again and I was back in bed. This cycle repeated a further two times before I finally looked around my bedroom and all seemed back to normal again. The sequence was disturbing in the extreme. This was very similar to a previous dream I had experienced on the first night Skully had been in my presence. Like the previous dream, it left me with some very curious feelings and insights about the nature of consciousness and of life. Some of my other experiences with Skully are outlined in subsequent sections of this web-site. Overall, the channelling sessions proved to be very similar to the scientific analysis in that both seemed to lead up a blind alley. With each session or test more questions were raised and neither provided me with any real solutions or answers. |
