Stunning new images.
Joshua was good enough to
share with me a new technique for producing complex images of the
crystal skulls. In brief, this involves taking an image of a skull
and making this 50% transparent. A copy of this is taken (also as
a 50% transparency,) which is then reversed, to produce a mirror image.
Finally, the two images are superimposed. Where they overlap the two
transparencies join to form an opaque image. Joshua has already produced
some stunning images using this technique and I thought it would be
interesting to try it with images of Skully. I did, and the results
were astonishing!
| In
the first image (right) the hard, angular features of a very
hostile and angry looking entity stare coldly back at us. Its
displeasure and menace sent a shiver down my spine when I first
saw the image. As you may recall, Joshua said that Skully contained
two different energies. It is easy to speculate that the form
captured in this image is the 'male' energy Joshua spoke of.
Its facial expression certainly correspond extremely well to
Joshua's description and feelings. |

The
second image (left) shows an unmistakably female form, with
a bob haircut, wearing a robe with a collar. Behind her are
what appear to be a pair of folded wings. She is attended by
two other females, seen in profile to her left and right. Closer
examination of both images reveals many more strange images
and pictures. Intrigued and fascinated by these I decided to
take the technique a stage further. |
Instead of using two, 50% transparencies
(as above), I made four, each at 25%. The four images produced were
rotated by 0deg, 90deg, 180deg and 270deg before being recombined
into a single image. I had expected to obtain a blurred mess for my
trouble since, in essence, all the technique involved was stacking
rotated versions of the same image on top of each other. What I did
get stunned me. In a split-second I understood precisely why the Secret
Society went to so much time, trouble and expense in trying to regain
Skully (via an ownership dispute
detailed elsewhere on these pages.)
I knew exactly what it was that so many of the Sensitives had seen
and described as 'a dark and powerful force.'
 |
In the center of the picture is
the unmistakable and incontrovertible image of a symbol I
am sure you are familiar with, if in a slightly different
form. A symbol used to great effect by Hitler's Nazi party
throughout W.W.II: The Swastika! In
its original form (as seen in Skully) this symbol was known
and widely-used from ancient times as a symbol of good luck.
It has been
found on Mongolian, Chinese and American Indian artifacts.
It is used in connection with the hideous aspect of the Hindu
goddess, Kali and is also known as the hammer
of Thor.
|
The word 'swastika' stems from the Sanskrit
'Su asti,' which means, literally
translated 'Good, he is.' The
arms are trailing as if the whole pattern were spinning clockwise.
It is a symbol of the Sun, of the powers of light. In the 1920s, when
the National Socialist Party was in its infancy, Hitler asked for
designs to be submitted that were akin to the hammer & Sickle
of communist Russia. Hitler chose the swastika but insisted that its
traditional form be reversed to form what the occult writer Francis
King described as "An evocation
of evil, spiritual devolution and black magic." It
was this one symbol which, in an instant, enabled me to make the connection
between the Egyptian mystery schools, Knights Templar, Freemasonry,
Royal Arch Masonry, the German sex magick cults (including Aleister
Crowley's own organization (O.T.O.) and the Golden Dawn.) It was as
though a light had been switched on in my head. In the wrong hands
Skully could unleash the hammer of Thor,
conversely, he could be the light of the
Sun.
Most people have slight differences between
their left and right sides. It can yield quite surprising, and often
amusing results to take an image of yourself (looking straight at
the camera) and produce mirror images of your left and right sides.
If one looks carefully at Skully, subtle differences can be seen between
his left and right sides. This is not simply a case of careless carving,
but rather an attempt to show Skully as a duel entity. It
did surprise me that not a single one of the Sensitives who visited
Skully noticed this rather strange feature. However, the visit
of Joshua Shapiro and Desy did throw some dramatic light upon why
Skully may possibly have been carved in this way.

The image
to the left is a normal photograph of Skully. To create the two
images shown below, this image was cut in half. A mirror image
of the left side is created. This is then joined to the original
left side to produce a composite image showing what Skully would
look like if his right side were a mirror image of his left. The
same process was undertaken on Skully's right side. Whilst it
is possible to notice the differences just by looking at Skully.
In the two photos shown below the two different faces of Skully
are strikingly apparent. Why should a carver have done this? |
It seemed to me a very curious thing for a
carver to have done as it meant much more work for him (or her) without
any increase in the worth or aesthetic value of the skull. It probably
wouldn't have even have been noticed. As with so many of Skully's physical
dimensions, I was left with the very strong feeling that there was some
message, or riddle encoded within. All we had to do was to figure out
how to read this elusive code.
 |
The image
to the left shows two left sides of Skully. The image to the right
shows two right sides of Skully. When viewed in this way it can
be seen quite clearly that Skully's face is a composite of two
different faces. Why should a carver have done this? |
